Emily moved from Norfolk, VA to Atlanta recently in 2015 with the encouragement of the leadership from her current organization.
She studied Sociology, Human Services, and Marketing at ODU and proceeded to work at the financial services boot camp, Ameriprise, starting in 2005. In 2007, she joined Lincoln Financial Advisors and was drawn in by their Serve First, Last, and Always mentality. She will be celebrating ten years with them in late 2017! After obtaining her Series 24 license in 2008, she began to specialize in regulatory and organizational compliance, as well as cross training in operations. Passionate about the growth and development of the organization, the move to Atlanta was a good fit. Now, as Business Operations Manager, she strives to ensure her financial planners and staff are well trained and well taken care of.
Since her move, she has become heavily involved in the local community of women in the financial services and insurances industry, both through her work on the board of WIFS-Atlanta and as a committee member of her organization’s WISE program. WISE, or Women Inspiring Supporting Educating, has put on multiple community-building events both here and in Nashville, TN with the help of Emily and her team and the support of WIFS. Emily also serves on the Mentorship and Membership Committee of the WISE program as she is passionate about helping develop strong women leaders in this industry.
In her free time she loves teaching dance classes, commuting via bike, walking her whippets, or treating her husband and two girls to the great things metro Atlanta has to offer a young family.
