Martina Jimenez-Sperry

Martina is a financial services executive with 22-plus years of progressive experience leading key corporate initiatives maximizing core business and bottom-line goals. Her background as a high-profile and well-respected diverse talent recruitment/development champion—and one of very few Hispanic women in the industry—includes deep expertise in B2B financial sales, marketing, and business development.

She served as the Associate Managing Director for the Southern Territory of Prudential Financial’ s Southern Financial Group. Recruited from New York Life Insurance Company as one of only seven AMD’s in the country in a newly created role, she turned around the company’s diverse talent recruitment from -50% to 65%, formed key strategic partnerships, and served as Acting Managing Director.

Over a fourteen-year progressive tenure with New York Life, She advanced from Financial Advisor with Eagle Strategies, a NYL subsidiary, to Market Management Field Director driving growth of the African American market, and to Partner in 2014. As a Financial Advisor, she built a fee-based practice from zero to a $40M AUM portfolio. In 2015, she achieved status as a Top 10 Partner among 150 region-wide peers.

Earlier in her career, she held successful foundational roles that included Marketing Manager with the Atlanta Development Authority and Mortgage Officer with HomeBanc Mortgage. She launched her career as a Relationship Manager with Bank of America before progressing to a newly created position as Loan Officer with American Mortgage Company.

Throughout her career, she has maintained a strong focus on diversity and intercultural development. Fluent in Spanish (and conversant in French) she has lived in the Dominican Republic and is well-traveled, having visited many countries in Europe, South America, and West Asia, and Oceania. She holds a BA degree in drama and communication. Martina holds life & health, disability, variable insurance and variable annuities and FINRA Series 7, 66, and 24 registrations.
