About our Speaker, Lydia Johnson, LPC

Originally from New York, Lydia attended Lithonia High School and Georgia State University, where she obtained her Master of Science in 2012. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Grief Educator that has been in practice for over ten years. She is the founder of Healing Space, LLC, a counseling and consultation practice, as well as Shift Just Got Real, LLC, a life coaching program which began as a way to provide support to out-of-state clients during Covid-19. Areas of expertise include grief and loss, life transitions and struggles associated with acceptance and self-love.

Lydia is dedicated to providing a safe space for exploration, healing and growth. She believes that humans are powerful beings that often do not honor and/or exercise their power. She is passionate about helping individuals feel empowered and inspired to move forward, at their own pace, so that they can create the life that they have envisioned for themselves.

Outside of professional endeavors, Lydia has a daughter, who is a senior at Savannah College of Art and Design, and a senior fur baby, whom currently resides with her in Dunwoody, Georgia. In her free time, Lydia enjoys developing her green thumb for gardening, learning to play the guitar, and spending time outdoors.
